I've had it for a few years and it's convenient for small jobs, never had an issue with it. Paid $280 in 2022 so the price is pretty good.

It's such a good saw. I think it's the best tool DeWalt makes it's my favorite thing in the world. Battery makes a big difference in power. I like them run the 9 amp hour flex volt on it.

I sold my 7-1/4 in" miter saw for a 10". Just so much more versatile than a 7-3/4" saw.

I had the 780 for 7 yrs now and finally got rid of it as I never used it much as it is heavy and hard to move around. If you have Dewalt batteries then this is good otherwise expect to spend another $150 for batteries at minimum.

I managed to get the Bosch 7 1/4" with 2 free batteries & charger from Lowes for $179. They still have the sale going on. I am using the miter saw more than ever now.

I got the 12 inch non-sliding Dewalt miter saw and that thing is huge. Gave my old 7 1/4 Kolbalt to a needy friend. I thought the 12" Dewalt was an upgrade but that thing is super heavy and large. He uses the Kolbalt at least a few times a week even today and I'm lazy because the 12" is so big and heavy to move around. Been looking for a smaller one. The reviews all say good things about this saw except that there is no thickness adjustment, but there is a mod to it and looks easy enough. In for one.

Was about to say the same exact thing. Phenomenal tool. Highly useful. I second the higher amp batteries. I run the 6 or 9 flex volt.
