While the Surface Pro can be both a laptop and a tablet, for the typical user it is a worse laptop than the Surface Laptop, and its a worse tablet than a Samsung/Google tablet or iPad.
The reason why, is because as a laptop the Surface Laptop has a better keyboard (even better than the $400 surface pro flex) and it can actually sit on your lap, while the surface pro requires use of a kickstand and the keyboard doesnt have the heft to stay put in a lap, or other unstable surface like a bed
Then as a tablet, Windows 11 just is nowhere near as good as android tablet/ipad for touch interface, and there are far less touch apps.
So really, for average person surface laptop + android tablet/ipad is superior
