Back to a good price they've had these "on sale" around $106 for the seasonal Black Friday chumps since October.

Gearwrench 90 Tooth quick-release one of the best ratchets you can buy.
The overall shape and size lend well to swapping out less desirable ratchets from many containerized tool kits.

And if you watch project farm you'd know 120T is not necessarily better....

Great deal on the 90T! Great find, OP!

I just picked up the 3/8" wrench by itself. It's of course a little better deal to get all 3, but 95% of the ratcheting I do is with the 3/8". I've got crappier but functional wrenches that I can still use for that other 5%.

Meh, black Friday you could get the 120xp in all three for $70.

And 120xp is ABSOLUTELY 100% NECESSARILY BETTER!

Based on what? It has a slightly better arch of motion than the 90t but we are talking a very small difference here. The breaking point of the 90t vs 120t, as tested by Project Farm, is negligible. And even at that, PF tests a single wrench for his comparisons so it's not a great sample size.. could be a particularly good or particularly bad example from any manufacturer that gets tested.

The Gearwrench examples he's tested seem to be consistently good performers, whether the 90t or 120t. I think it's silly to suggest the 120t is clearly better than the 90t when they are so close in all of his tests. Given how the 120t works, with two separate mechanisms, the 90t likely has better long-term durability due to being a simpler design but long-term durability wasn't tested.

I bought the 120xp. I've been back and forth whether to keep them or return them and buy this model instead. Frankly, it's a tossup given the info available but the savings on the 120xp is better, so I suppose it's a better deal solely based on percentage of discount.

Based on engineering, physics, and personal experience using both the 90T and 120xp extensively also. So we can disagree but the 120xp is noticeably a far better ratchet IMO to the 90T. I have several of both in all drives and variations. But to each his own! They will both get the same job done. I've beaten the hell out of both my 90T's and 120xps over the last 3 years and have had no issues yet. I think it's a myth that the double pawl is weaker. There is no evidence yet to support this. But I seldom use my 90T's anymore and have almost switched somely to the 120xp's.

On thing I will say though is GW quality control can sometimes be inconsistent with their ratchets but i guess that can be expected when producing an advance tool such as ratchet. I've had to return a both a 90 and 120 because of skips.
