Yeah most shoppers dont see the point in paying more. DVDs are usually way cheaper on the rack then a Bluray or UHD most of the time.

And bluray players generally are double to triple the cost of a dvd player if you're not a gamer.

This is what boggles my mind, the price of a simple BluRay player in 2025. We've always had a Playstation, so haven't worried about it, but still.
