These look like a not so subtle copy of the old Energy RC Micro 5.1. And if they're half as good this is a great buy.

The wires from the receiver you'll need powers the individual speakers. Only the sub and receiver need to be plugged in

Not sure why it's an issue this doesn't include a receiver, it's 170 for a legit 5.1 system, and yes it's comparable to the energy take ones that punch way above their weight class.

You can get a Denon, Yamaha, Onkyo receiver and pair this to make an awesome 5.1 system for an amazing price.
