They're getting out of the consumer business.

They're leaving consumer so micron (parent) can reallocate their resources towards data centers, ai, and enterprise.

Because screw the consumer. They don't pay enough. 😭

Yeah let's not welcome them back for folding to our ai overlords if/when they want to sell to us peons!

I remember when I started building PCs back in 2007, Crucial Ballistics were the go-to RAM of choice. Nowadays, they're just a shell of their former selves. Those glory days are over and Micron ruined it. Ai can have it now, good riddance.

Gamers Nexus was saying that the way things are going is we will be renting computer power from these data centers. Oh great another subscription service... Big brother is soooo here..

Missing info here is that it is a 2tb BX, not the MX..

They are saying that this stuff will be going through the roof in price next quarter and the lull in gpu prices will be over for a verry long time.. times they are a changing.. Might be the last consumer builds a lot of us make..

Once they finish building their skynets prices will start coming down.

With Micron not making Crucial stuff anymore, I wonder how they will handle warranty replacements. Refunds only?

Don't worry about it. Apparently you've been living under a rock and you're the exact consumer they want to serve through their subscription based ai enabled cloud computing to come very soon
