I upgraded from AirPods 1 because my battery was shot after many years. Noise cancelation is much better and has a mode where it'll cut noise cancelation off when you're talking and then resume when you stop. Very useful during walks etc. Transparency mode is much better on the AirPods 3, way less "static-y". I don't know how much this differs from AirPods 2 but it's a big upgrade from first gen.
As an aside to be somewhat helpful in-thread, I price matched these today off a Costco purchase I made earlier this month. No hassle, refunded difference to card, didn't get asked to return and repurchase or anything crazy. I'd seen conflicting info before, at least for me they just took the purchase info from the app and refunded back to card.

Despite your quotes, I don't believe this to be the case. I recently returned a pair of AirPods Max headphones that broke and the return wasn't a problem at all. Other online forums report the same, that AirPods are not under the 90 day limitation.

why would you even have all three? You are throwing money out window. Difference is so slight. Airpod pro 1s are just fine. Yah, I get better noise canceling something I never ever use. I need to be able to hear outside while walking so I don't get hit by a car. Transparency mode? I never use it.

I've thought about upgrading from Pro 1 to Pro 2 just for the hearing aid functionality. Heard good things about it however I have yet to see a $100 price point. Guess time is on my side as my Pro 1 is working fine. I'll probably upgrade next BF. Bought my Pro 1 in 2020. No sign of degradation yet

Did yours come brand new? I got 3 resale items on black friday and two of them did come brand new but the airpods pro 3's were used with a scratched up case and earwax on the pods. They had 20 days left to activate so I'm assuming someone used them for the entire 30 day return policy and returned them. Unfortunate.

before buying, read or watch reviews on airpods pro 3 vs 2. i believe the tldr is: gen 3 better noise cancelling + new features (HR mon), gen 2 better music audio quality (which tbf is subjective and a matter of preferences for frequency response)

Good luck! I got that same deal too but it came in freaking used, earwax and all, scratched up too with some damn coloration.... and the owner still had its account attached to it. "Owner of this item can see will be able to see the location of this item." Message showed up and scared me, drove a mile away and reset it away from my home. I wish you luck on your purchase. Idk why I even tried connecting to it when it was obviously used. So much for "mint".
