I have heard all the fruitcake jokes, but these Claxton fruitcakes were a tradition in our house while I was growing up (I am 77). The price has risen of course since then, but this is a pretty good deal. Thank you for posting.

This brand isn't a bad fruit cake. We had a an old family recipe born out of the great depression my great grandmother taught my grandmother who taught my mom. She still makes it every year and it is fantastic. I grew up never understanding the jokes around Fruit cake (which were big jokes in the 80's) since I couldn't wait for the first batch to come out of the oven. Come to think of it I need to get that recipe since she is starting to hit the point where cooking is a struggle.

I actually ordered these two days ago for S&S. They were $25, minus a $5 coupon. Been keeping an eye on them since ordering, and definitely didn't see under $10 for the three pack, nor does the three C's reflect that it hit that price either.

Unfortunately most Walmarts around me no longer carry these. Normal price on Amazon is very inflated compared to Walmart, so was happy it came on sale.
