Don't see why not, the only difference might be the thickness in hair and the width between the cutting blades tines on the shears . Having said that you might want to sit tight and wait for a deal for a regular kit. I have a Wahl kit that included a little battery driven shear in addition to the larger corded one several years ago for this price. Pretty much make your money back the first couple itmes you use it to cut your own hair vs paying someone else to do it. I've probably saved over a thousand at this point more than a decade later.

I'd recommend skipping this model in favor of the human version, which comes with far more cutting guards. I usually find those at Walmart, Amazon, or other retailers at the same price or less.

I've been using the colored 'corded' Wahl clippers since 2005, and I'm only on my second set now. They cut great and last.

I prefer the corded versions after trying cordless. The corded ones feel sturdier, more power, and reliable.

Nonetheless, from the description, this model seems designed for coarser, fuller pet‑type hair, though I cannot say for certain.

It would work but I strongly recommend not using the bundled guards if you're going to cut your own or someone else's hair. The guards that Wahl bundles in their kits use weak plastic that flexes and can pop off the clipper easily. The premium guards with the metal spring clip are much better (Wahl 03171-500).

I had the cordless color cut machine for like 5 years and finally replaced it with a cordless 5 star this year. I felt a little apprehensive spending that much on a hair clipper machine I only really use to cut my brothers hair, but oh my gosh it was a game changer!! The higher end machines work waaaaay better.
