If you or someone you know has experienced a house fire due to electrical issues you learn the value of UL certification. Personally, it's not worth saving $10-$20 on something that stays connected to an electrical outlet all the time and hasn't undergone stringent UL testing and certification. Amazon is flooded with cheap untested products. I still buy some of these non UL listed products but I don't leave them plugged in while we are sleeping or away. UL certification doesn't guarantee no fires but it does significantly reduce the risk.

Except that the length of the cord is nowhere to be found, or how much current it can carry.
Dug around and found out it's a 5ft cord rated for 1625W max. If it detects over 1625W, apparently it'll automatically shut itself off which is a pretty cool safety feature vs regular cords.

For $13, I'll bite.

I had a lightning cable go bad and was searing hot when I unplugged it and it burnt my finger and the cable was so hot it broke right off with it when I pulled it out, apple certified cable and charger, just twisted and too much use I guess, so things can always happen. It's one of the leading fire causes nowadays- usually left under pillows

depends on laptop, but 20w is likely too slow to charge any laptop when it is on. you need 45W for ultra portable, and often 60W or higher for regular laptops.

I have ordered a 65W and 100W. 65W was delivered yesterday but 100W is cancelled due to some safety concerns from Amazon.

If you want this for travel don't make make the mistake I did. 20w is not enough for any laptop requiring you to bring an additional 65w+ block. They make one that's rated for 65w PD.

On the same product page there is a two-for-one deal you can get the 65 watt in cart in final checkout page for $18 if you add a 30 watt 2 in 1 charger plug for an extra $12 so $30 for both. Okay deal? The $12 plug is limited to 18 Watts on USB C and 12 Watts on USB A

EDIT
just found prior slickdeal post I can get this 65 watt charger for $20 on its own with coupon code. IVZLOCKM. I think I'll do this unless that two in one plug I should keep for $12 is a great deal?

Apple cables are low quality. Never had issues with Motorola, Samsung or OnePlus charging accessories. With apple they always have tears or you have to hold at angle.

I hate to say this but be prepared just in case. I have had 6 of these and all have died except 1 of them and that's because I just opened it. I wish it wasn't pass the 30 days or I'd return this one because there's a high probability it will do the same as my others. I tried 2 of this 20watt version and both within a few months started flashing the power button and locked itself from allowing any port to work. I had really liked them so I reordered the 40 watt version hoping I had got a faulty batch. The same thing happened to 3 of the 40 watt ones. Only 1 had failed within the 30 days which allowed me to swap it for another one of these poc. Evidently the two models share some components that were faulty. I have given up my attempt to find a good batch. it's ashame because I really liked them.

If reviewers waited 3 months before leaving comments I believe it would be lower than the current 4.4.
