Definitely stay away from REL. They give only a 3 year warranty because their subs are low quality and they know they dont last. One of mine developed a hum even when there is no signal. Of course I was out of warranty (just thought they would be 5 years, my mistake) but contacted to see if they can give me any help. I was hoping for a replacement amp for around cost but tgey wanted $400 plus shipping. Considering I got free shipping on the original purchase it would have cost as much for the replacement amp as the new sub cost me.

They had zero desire to help me. They give a shorter warranty so they dont have to cover the problems they create by cutting corners and they turn that into a profit maker by trying to overcharge for replacement parts. I will never buy REL again and would definitely not recommend them.

You're in for a treat. 2 of these for $1400 is a bargain - probably the best bass per dollar on the market.
I've been enjoying mine for over a year now.

Just wanted to add that Klipsch has great customer service and they have no problems honoring their warranties. We had the old 15" we bought and at 4yr 8mo it started thumping (blown amp). They had us troubleshoot, then they shipped us this new 1600 as the free replacement, with a prepaid shipping label to return the old 15". It's the size of a medium small coffee table and a good baseline will create a draft of air in our theater room.

REL is the Bose of subs. They are the ONLY sub manufacturer I know of that wants you to run your speakers full-range alongside their subs (i.e. "Large" in your receiver settings) purportedly for "better integration" but that imo is just a sorry excuse for their subs being miserably underpowered and underperforming despite the deliberately inflated-to-impress pricetags. (Deliberately inflated prices plus cute-and-petite form factor is THE signature of all "lifestyle" products' marketing-driven design.)
lol, that's a hot take. They certainly have their own configuration philosophy regarding speaker level inputs and crossovers/filter. I'm sorry you don't understand it.

The vendor is an advertiser on SD, so they constantly promote these ads to front page.

Got a pair of these for almost two years now and they have been awesome. They improved my home theater experience tremendously coming from two SVS PB-1000. After calibration on the Denon x3800h, they wreck havoc at my house and on my chest. Deep, thunderous, and tight bass that you can feel.

She's dead Jim. "The code you entered is no longer valid"

Edit: Tried it a second time and then the code worked. Weird.

It defeats half the purpose of getting a sub: relieving your speakers and receiver of the burden of carrying the much more power-intensive, driver-stressing low frequencies.

There is a reason that nobody else (Hsu, Rythmik, RSL, PSA, SVS, etc) engages in this idiocy.

This defintely has more output; it is a more powerful sub because it is ported. This will be much better for movies. The svs probably would be better for music since it is sealed.. and for space saving. This is a lot bigger.

I bought this one. I have until end of January to return the SVS so I guess I will try both and see. I think I was leaning towards the PB-3000 anyways which I believe is the ported version of the SB-3000.. and I want this sub for movies so maybe the Klipsch is a better fit.

Again many factors at play but a main one is your preference.
Especially since you're comparing ported versus sealed subs.

I would point out proper placement plays a major role on optimal performance.
BIG footprint difference between the two.

Most believe ported is for movies, sealed is for movies.
If that's your understanding you'll likely prefer this.

From running dual SB3000s in dedicated HT setup.
They perform very well for their small footprint!
Especially now with ART!

If you bought them directly from SVS.
They give you 45 days to return, no cost to you.
Give them a shot and see what you think.
You will find out fairly quickly if it works for you or not.

I'm sorry you don't understand more than the absolute basics of audio.

Updated/removed my ranting post....🤦 Klipsch reached back out and they now think it's my soundbar (Klipsch flexus core 200) causing the issue... I don't want to mislead or deter anyone from getting one of these incredible subs.

Thank you. Been running a Klipsch Sub-12HG for more than ten years (got it for $200 on a Slickdeals sale back in 2014). I already think that thing has plenty of kick, but recently been upgrading my setup, picked up three KEF Q350 speakers (using third as a center channel for now) and was debating on a subwoofer upgrade. Mostly will use this for music (listen to pretty much all genres), and occasional movies.I'm sure either would be a huge upgrade, but the RSL also seems a tiny bit smaller dimensions wise.
This klipsch will go louder and lower than the 12" RSL. Physics does not lie, and at at better price. In a properly set up setting you wont hear "articulation" differences between both, don't drink the kool-aid...
