This is potentially targeted, but I thought I'd share anyway.
Just checked out on Metroid Prime 4 Beyond via the "Cash App Pay" at checkout after applying 20% off in the Cash App.
My tax is 6% in my state, making my 20% land at $59.35.

You need to pay 30$ for background music while riding the bike. Not a deal.
No, you've fallen for clickbait. You CAN pay $30 for an amiibo does that, but you can also just organically unlock it in the game like with most anything an amiibo unlocks in any game.

Why would baseline background music need to be unlocked? I'm a lifelong Nintendo fan, but have a hard time explaining this one. Not paying and spreading the word is the only leverage we have against their greed.
Worst prime game to date. Barely worth $30, much less $60. I think this game will be a commercial failure and ultimately kill the franchise again unfortunately..

Kind of false on your end too. You unlock it by 100 percenting the game/beating it, which THEN unlocks the jukebox.
So no you can't use it really on your first playthrough. Don't be a Nintendo apologist, this game is a huge let down.
You can buy pre-printed or blank nfc cards or (deck size or round). Using almost any phone with nfc capabilities and the amiibo info (google it, there are sites where people dumped them) you can write the amiibo info to the card using apps or they sell specific devices capable of it.

you unlock BGM by getting 100% in the game from my understanding. What's the point in playing the game again after doing everything possible? Shouldn't need to unlock music. Next you'll pay to unlock your new hardware's capabilities... oh wait...

lol, I didn't say you could unlock it on your first playthrough, just that it's unlockable. This isn't even a feature in most games and the ones where it is, you usually have to unlock the feature or even unlock individual tracks. It's part of the game, give me a break lol

That's not what's happening here. It's a customization option you're unlocking. It's a novel feature and games have been doing exactly this kind of thing for soundtracks, art boards, special features, etc. for decades.

That's probably a sign that it's a minor feature that barely anyone will use and why they tacked it on to an amiibo. Like, have none of you played any video games before? Most games don't even let you customize the music and when they do, YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK IT.

No interconnected areas.
Massive boring desert level.
Harvest green crystal for no reason.
One area is called "fury green".
I can't see this gaming staying at $70 for long. Seems like a turd.
