I bought a different, probably more mainstream/legit, brand and the prints mostly look awful. The product photos make it seem like a high quality b/w photo but i have not gotten anything close to that resolution/definition. YMMV but expect this to be 90% gimmick

brightside it uses thermal paper which is very cheap. given, maybe it causes cancer.

This are Chuck E Cheese equivalent photos they come out of this. They are kind of fun and the photo paper is cheap, but don't expect good quality photos.

look at picture reviews on amazon to see resolution for yourself. we have kids polaroids, and boy those print cartridges are expensive. and the kids take dumb photos of a door. or a toy. and then also open cartridges and pull the individual blanks out. this is much better. i personally like the ones with two lenses, so its easy to take a selfie and see how the photo looks while taking it. these are fun and worth the few bucks.

Since its thermal paper I'm assuming it'll eventually fade into oblivion.

Yes, I bought a similar kid themed thermal paper printing camera and it was terrible - the first one we got barely printed at all, then the replacement printed so faintly it was hard to make out anything on them. We ended up getting a polaroid-style kids camera and it worked great.

Just so people know these cheap thermal printing cameras come in a range of quality. I have had a few of them and for each one you have to go through and adjust the different settings to get the best print quality. Sometimes the base setting looks terrible. The other thing is that these can come with a range of print resolutions and it's normally pretty hard to figure out the dpi of these cameras because they normally don't list the info unless it's a higher end one. Out of the 3 cheapo cameras we had (all sub $20) one printed way better than the others but then when I went to get another one that model was no longer available anymore so it would have been a toss up again of quality.
