Target has all of their Ball mason jars and lids on sale 20% off. There is a Circle bonus offer for $5 off $20 on select home items, which includes all the Ball items plus much more. This makes for some really good prices on canning jars.
For instance I bought two packs of
Ball 8oz (half pint) jars [target.com] which are on sale for $9.59 each, plus a couple of
dinner plates [target.com] also included in the sale at 50 cents each to bring my total just over $20. After the $5 off $20, the Ball jars ended up being $7.21 per dozen jars and the plates were 38 cents each. I will use the plates to send leftovers home with friends and family members, so I don't have to worry about getting them back.
