JOYFAR won't get far as this thing is just a little bit too high capacity to be TSA compliant. Why would anybody design it that way?

I'm guessing power stats are inflated. YMMV

Agree. 30k mah is weird. Either keep it under 27k, or just go big like 50k.

While I initially agreed, it looks like TSA allows for 101-160wh here, carry on only, "with airline approval" (not sure what that means - ok as long as there is no sign?) - here-

I have these and have flown with them. The size is awkward if you are looking to carry it around.

It's not big enough in size to worry them

i'm waiting for a revolution in power banks.
if a decent cellphone is 5000mAh
there's no reason something 6 times more capacity
should still be this fat and bulky.

"with airline approval" mean's you need to notify the airline BEFORE you arrive at the airport/TSA check-in letting them know and approve the bigger capacity on the airplane.

If you don't , throw it away or donate it to a lucky person going home from the airport.

I got the cheaper 45W version through the MorningSave deal a few days ago and it's... okay? Fine if you need a high capacity pack for the price of like a 10,000 mAh pack from brands like Anker.

The built-in USB cable is garbage (not surprising) and it charges very slow. It did seem to give the full speed from the additional usb-c port at least.
Definitely read reviews before jumping in blind.

No-name batteries are FAR from a JOY for reliability.

Anyone familiar with the trickle charging feature? Can it be used as a battery back up for a USB security camera and run for awhile after the power goes out?

i.e. Wall > Power Bank > Camera

Or will the power bank shut off when discharged and require a person to press the power button when the power comes back online?
