Before 2000, MAG was a real monitor brand and was the first to offer a 17" CRT for $699 (don't laugh) when most mainstream consumer can only afford 14" or 15".
The funder of MAG (a 26 years old) went on funded Vizio.
MAG in this case is merely a Series from MSI, not a revived brand.

OLED is simply a stronger tech for games, and IPS has better viewing angles. Yes I've simplified the differences, but if you have a quality VA panel, then any typical criticisms are minor or nonexistent

VA panels have slow response times and blur issues. Not a good combo for a "gaming" monitor.
