I've had a couple like these. Be careful not to overload if it has a plastic hinge. If you put too much downward pressure on something you're trying to chop (like that onion in the picture), you can crack the plastic hinge. It's really better to slice the item into smaller pieces before putting it thru the chopper. It will extend the life of your device!

I have one of these. IT definitely feels flimsy as you smash it down on the onion but mine hasnt broken (yet). I am expecting it to break any moment but it wont quit on me. I chop a bunch of onions at once and froze them for later to mix into omelets and chorizo and eggs.
