My last swiss gear backpack didn't even make it a year before coming apart at the Zipper. I haven't tried to warranty it yet. The ogio I had lasted about 3 years.

I'm rolling the dice on a off brand pack from Walmart. I haven the felling most of the packs are coming from the same OEM in china anyways.

Swiss Gear have a change in a quality? I have a pack from over 10 years ago that's stood the test of time. Not that I go out hiking or anything but it gets much use.

i tried to warranty mine - they offered 15% off a full price replacement - claim that the normal wear and tear = not buying this brand again. The previous one lasted 10 + years. This one not making it -- mostly has sat on the floor and wore out normally Smilie

Are you sure it was an actual Swiss gear? There's plenty of knockoffs like Walmart has Swisstech. I bought two Swisstech duffels while I was moving a year and a half ago, and by the time I picked them up at the baggage carousel, they were falling apart. My old Swiss gear backpack that's similar to this one had no issues. My wife made me stop using it do to appearance from a decade of traveling.

Yes. I bought it in-store at target. My swiss gear roller and suitcase I bought from Target in 2013/2014 are still making trips, but they're on their last legs. They are why I bought the backpack, but the backpack was a disappointment.

I have this bag and HATE it. It doesn't stand flat if you have anything in it-it's built so that it pitches forward onto the bungee cord side. Irritating as hell

I paid $4 brick& mortar clearance last year, and wish I hadn't

I have been using a Swissgear back pack for my work laptop and such for almost three years 2-3 times a week, no issues yet. Granted that I treat it well and don't stuff it to the gills.
