The Amazon enamel is lighter colored, so easier to see fond and how a cooks is progressing vs being more difficult to see with the black Staub.
This is the best price currently for the Staub, it's $150 everywhere else. This had been an sale for years at $99, so much for tariffs

will I have less of an issue with stuff like this with the staub?

This is an excellent price. I bought it when it was very briefly $100, but that was before tariffs. Aside from everything else, it's perfect for a no-knead bread (but line with parchment paper).
I wouldn't go out of my way to replace the lodge, but buying fresh I'd choose the staub for sure.
That said, I am pretty hard on my staub and haven't chipped it. My lodge has a couple exterior chips from banging on the edge of the sink.
