I got this last time it was on super sale, $100 IIRC and it's been great, I actually prefer it over our le creuset.

how does this compare to the amazon basics one for $30? I have one of these and the bottom surface is easy to burn but it's probably a skill issue on my part?

The staub is lighter, though it has slightly less capacity at 4tq vs 4.3 qt. The enamel is better on the staub, whereas the one from Amazon has a higher chance of cracking and chipping.
The Amazon enamel is lighter colored, so easier to see fond and how a cooks is progressing vs being more difficult to see with the black Staub.

This is the best price currently for the Staub, it's $150 everywhere else. This had been an sale for years at $99, so much for tariffs

i see, thanks for the insight. any comments on my issue with burning? i have a dark burnt layer on the bottom of my amazon basics one and have a hard time getting it off (tried vinegar/baking soda soak, etc..). I don't want to use something too abrasive but seems that's the only way to get it off. honestly, it does't affect cooking, so I'm not concerned with it. just looks dirty aesthetically

will I have less of an issue with stuff like this with the staub?

The staub has black enamel so you won't notice any discoloration.
