220 cals, 20g of protein - better ratios can be found in other bars but these are delicious IMO and very 'candy bar-forward' so worth it for me.

Note -- won't ship for 2-4 weeks.

Hmm, that's not reflected in the 90d price history -- unless you mean prior to that.

This is the lowest price in 90d at least, fwiw.

It was probably for the smaller sized version.

Rule of thumb for protein bars: whey based is like eating cardboard, soy based tastes good. Few exceptions. No idea about this one, but it's whey protein.

I have had the complete opposite experience, and I have tried several dozen protein bars. I will always choose another protein source over soy-based, if possible. Most soy-based bars are loaded with (even more) artificial sweeteners and have worse nutrient profiles than other protein sources. Soy bars are typically the cheapest. I suppose if you want something that tastes overly sweet, like a candy bar with a similar nutrient profile, then grab a soy-based bar.

Ingredients profile is a separate issue. I'm just commenting on flavor and consistency as a base between the two. Whey is just tough to make anything but the sludge and flavor it is.

Do these taste better than Pure Protein bars? These do have 1g less protein and 40 extra calories than Pure Protein. I'm just not a fan of their taste.

I'm no bar snob, but these are a little high in saturated fat for me.

So much better tasting than pure protein! These have texture variance between the hard chocolate, soft nougaty caramel and the crispy bits. Pure protein are kind of all the same nasty pasty/chalky texture. These DO NOT taste like a real chocolate bar however are a close enough facsimile that it scratches my sweet tooth itch while delivering me some decent macros.Highly recommend.

These don't have that effect on me.
