Prices are at all time low for these drones. Note the ones shipping from Amazon are covered by their return policy. Third party sellers, but I have had luck with those shipping from Amazon (look for "Ships from Amazon".

The Fly More Combo at $1099 is what most people would want (comes with the RC 2 controller and the batteries don't make it overweight like the plus).

DJI Mini 5 Pro $759
DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo with RC-N3 $959
DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo with RC 2 $1099
DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo Plus $1159

From what I've seen, this drone was never officially released in the US. Anyone know if that will cause any problems with setting one of these up and flying one in the US?

I got the RC-N3 one about a month ago, and everything works fine (including the app connection). I haven't tried to see if it is covered under warranty etc.

These are shipped by Amazon so it's not going to matter a lot who's selling it but I recognize the seller (don't endorse them, just seen them before). Not sure why anyone would want the regular combo when you can get the Plus combo for $60 more. BOTH are *overweight* and *all* M5P drones over 250g need to be registered to legally fly in the US; makes zero sense to get stuck with the lightweight impotent batteries.

I think regarding weight, the regular batteries are hit or miss and may actually be just under 250 grams with those, and technically a lot less risky to fly those than the definitely overweight bigger ones, particularly in a foregin country.

Can you enroll in the DJI care extended warranty in the US or is that still banned?

You cannot purchase DJI care on this. You'll need to buy the Amazon extended warranty

Careful with the seller on these. I bought a DJI Mini 3 Pro that said it was sold by Amazon Resale but the actual seller was some new Chinese account. I received a box of face masks instead of a drone.

True, but I've never seen a M5P weigh under 250g. Makes me think they don't exist.

Not the sellers fault. If you got it from Resale, it was probably a return from a customer who took the drone, stuffed the package with face masks, sent it back to Amazon who didn't check it and resold it to you.

Just do not connect to internet. As soon as you connect DJI anything to internet, back door uploads pics, vids, audio to CCP Intel servers.

You either know or you don't and, while this drone is good priced tech, technically speaking, there is a reason they are selling this at a further discounted price.
