The main interesting bit about this appears to be the inbuilt battery backup for parking mode, which isn't something I've seen before...

Nice idea, but has the same disadvantage as every other battery-based dashcam. Unless you live in Alaska, thing will cook in the windshield in the summer and the battery will inevitably go bad in short order. If you want a dashcam for more than a year or two, get a capacitor based model like one from Viofo.

and? of course, we buy this just for that feature only. i got the capacitor one and it drained my battery within the first couple of days. why would we get a solar dash cam camera for?
