They are good for that, but keep in mind that sometimes you have to do a little extra to get around the captive portal, but there is well documented ways to do it. (Hotel & Dorm Connect is the name of the feature.).

Although, if you are a Xbox Game Pass user, the Amazon Fire Stick may be a more attractive option because it supports Microsoft's Cloud Gaming.

Walmart still has Onn 4k streaming puck for $20 if anyone prefers 4k for same price. I have 1. Great little device. Not a stick but it is pretty small.

The 4K Roku stick (Roku Streaming Stick Plus) is available at Lowe's for $20 (you can get it delivered with Instacart too). This is a non deal unless you absolutely need the Roku platform.
