I have bought Caterpillar work boots in the past. When you first try them on they are comfortable. Issue with them is in a short period of time the base material, that is used for shock absorption gets compressed. It feels like you are walking on concrete and that happened in multiple pairs I have purchased. I would recommend Dewalt or Redwing, ect

I disagree. . . I've had this exact model for close to a year now and for the first 6 months I wore them all day long and that includes 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 hour shifts ECT and they've held up just fine in the trades. They are very lightweight, they look fantastic. My coworkers call them my "Jordans" since they all wear traditional steel toes. They still have no tears at this moment, even in the toe area although I do have to work on my knees often. The laces have also held up fine ECT. Now, I will say these aren't too friendly if you have longer toes (one of my toes touches the walls and eventually aches a little) but that might me my personal experience. YMMV. Ultimately and specially at this price I'd say they are fantastic and quite comfortable shoes/boots.

Are they good for running, walking, jogging, hiking?
