Good price for the container, but adding a lid kills it. I have a ton of these 6 qt from Sam's very useful and $10 for two with lids. https://www.samsclub.com/ip/Cambr...om=/search Sam's used to sell more Cambro stuff. It's a shame they don't anymore. There is the 4 qt containers too, also a good deal, $13 for the 3 pack with lids. https://www.samsclub.com/ip/Cambr...om=/search

Not completely opaque, I have the same container and levels are visible. Just wish this one came with the lid.

I have 6qt clear container and I love it. I don't always need a lid but I think it's compatible between 6qt and 8qt. In 4 2. Tx!

I use an 8 qt container to sous vide. Depending on your sous vide heater, you will need to make sure the water level is high enough for it to work properly. I have to fill to at least the 6 qt mark. It will work for smaller portion items.

An 8 QT would be too small for a whole turkey. A 22-quart container is suitable for turkeys weighing between 12 to 14 pounds per my AI inquiry.

Yeah, good luck getting a 22qt cambro into your domestic fridge.

Good for the garage, do something like a quick drain and fill for something between 5-6qt, can do the drain and measure all in one go so you know how much to put back in.

It might not be transparent, but it is translucent you can see thru it with some light enough to see the liquid levels, especially dense dark fluids like you have coming out of a car.

I find wiping out and cleaning a container like this to be much easier than say what you might expect to use, and oil drain pan, because those have all these nooks and valleys usually.

So unless you want to drain and store in the same container for $6 it was worth picking up.

If you took a second to scroll through the images, it would answer your question.
