It's one of the sites the old woot guys run after selling woot too amazon afaik. Their other sites are Morning Save, Side deal, and a couple others. I've ordered from morning save a few times, shipping can be slow but good reputable seller otherwise.

I don't think this is a very attractive deal. I feel like my little govee or tcl units might have a higher CADR and they were only $20 new.

It would seem that the two biggest air purifier metrics are volume of air at different speeds and the noise at those speeds. Any idea on how this compares to the other various deals that pop up every so often like the winix

It's never a good sign when the manufacturer omits CADR (clean air delivery rate) let alone CFM (cubic feet per minute) ratings. We might estimate it has around a 75 CFM CADR max (based on alleged 100'sq rating), whereas the winix 5500-2 comes in closer to 250 CFM CADR.

If you look into Corey Rosenthal boxes and related testing it becomes clear air flow sort of trumps particle filtration size for most contaminants in our homes we wish to filter out of the air. I had a winix 5500-2 die on me after 7 years of use. On the highest speed you can now smell the bearings/brushes cooking a little. It's still fine on speeds 1-3. It is possible to repair but I am instead trying a Levoit 200s-p to replace it, although I was very tempted to order a more commercial style filter like a WEN.
