This has been as low as $299.
This isn't a good deal.

Especially for the 128GB version. I've had issues with room to do OS updates on a 128GB iPad. I can't imagine an actual computer.

Nearly 2026 -- this is an awful price for a heavily-used garage sale find FIVE YEAR OLD 8gb/128gb computer. Even if it is a mac.

This does not worth 1500 as everybody knows. eBay sellers are not smart but I thought Slickdeals users would be better...

I'm clearly in the minority here but if you're looking for a laptop and have a budget of around $350, this is a good deal. Obviously 8GB ram and 128GB storage isn't meant for professionals, but for high school or even college students it would suffice.

Obviously if you increase your budget a bit you can get a much better machine, but $350 could already be a strain on a lot of people. If you compare this to other options at $350 or less, it's a solid deal. You're not going to find a $350 Windows laptop that outperforms this.

It's supposedly in like-new condition, has a 1-year warranty, and the seller has 97.6% positive feedback.

All that being said, I don't know where tf this $1,500 number is coming from. This was a $999 laptop when released, and it was frequently sold new for $800 or less.

I have this exact Mac Air with the 256gb ssd. I would much rather have this PC than my Mac:

My two cents. You can find this used 256gb 16gb of ram in marketplace for 400. I would spend the extra for 16gb of ram due to them having a minimum of 16gb in their lineup.

Can you get away with 8gb for light loads absolutely, but I'd rather hunt for that extra 8gb and storage space.

Yeah, that's more like it. I mean...the only market that could buy this particular SKU was education.

So these are laptops used by US school children. What condition do you think they'll be in? 🤣

sounds like tek deal ebay buys a pallet fill of 100x M1 128gb edu for $1500 ($15 each). And trys to flip it for $150 each at ebay yard sale.

these are literally recycled and write off laptops after 4 years.
