For months 4-6, you can downgrade to the 30 plan. So about $370. Use a referral link and get $25 credit. So about $350 for the phone and 6 months of service. Can lower it if you can get someone to your referral link.
I don't get these posts. These are good deals FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO BE ON CRICKET AS THEIR CELL PROVIDER. Because we all need a cell provider yes? No, this is a dumb deal if you are intent on being on a different cell provider but somehow think you can buy an iPhone for basically nothing and get it unlocked right away.
And to be clear, it means 6 months of active service paired with that phone. I made this mistake once. Already a Cricket customer, opened a new line to get the discount, swapped my existing line's SIM card to the new phone while continuing to pay for the new line until the required length of time had passed for unlocking. But because I didn't use the new phone with the new line, they wouldn't unlock it, even though I maintained active service the whole time on the new line, just with the new line's SIM in a junk phone that I tossed in a drawer.
Honestly guys at this price it is probaly better to score an iPhone 13 pro renewed from amazon. The "best" part you get from the 16e is siri integration and she is pretty much garbage compared to the other Agentic platfrom out there. Even if you had to do a battery replacement because the battery bad they can be done by Apple and are not that unreasonable.
