Yes, it applies to all current, and available plans - The "Experience" family of plans. The store rep might insist on you signing up for the Experience more plan. It helps if you are porting over 4 or more lines. The store rep is not obligated to share the insider code. They are officially only supposed to share these insider codes with their friends and family. So, if you bring over enough lines to bump their performance, some reps share their insider code as a thank you. Also, insider codes have an expiry date (before which they need to be used up). I'm not sure if there are any that are currently valid. So, it helps to ask around. Sometimes, the reps at the T-Mobile kiosks inside Costco also give Insider codes. That would be the holy grail. If the promo is still on, I believe you can get $450 cash back per new line that you add.
I don't see the experience plan, I only see the essentials, experience more, and experience beyond. Also, does the 20% come off the entire price to include all lines?

Just texted t mobile and was told that my account is eligible, and they are in the process of sending out text message about the promo. Once the text is received they can process the free line promo. Also said it may be next Tuesday when the promo comes out.

UPDATE: Since I'm in the middle of work. I reached out through Chat Option. They were able to activate. Took about 20min. But, now I have my second free line. Good Luck. $10 activation fee
This is the way. Be specific when asking. Follow MonkeyGeek's example when asking. Might as well just copy his / her message, including Lotalty.

Don't get me wrong. I love free stuff but this is why I almost hate these things. T-Mobile insists on making these things "secret" or "Hidden" but someone comes here and posts about it. Then you've got a bunch of people calling and asking or even calling in multiple times until they get a rep that tells them what they want to hear. Then you inevitably get get the posts complaining about not actually getting the free line that they expect. I wish T-Mobile would just make it obvious and clear if you quality to avoid all this craziness.

I meant to say the Experience Beyond plan. The discount applies to the cost of voice lines' plan cost before taxes and fees. Doesn't apply to home Internet, Watch, and data lines

I just messaged through T-Life. 4 lines on Go5GPlus, plus wifi, plus watch line. No free lines. Not eligible. But to be fair, it didn't take long to get the disappointing news, so it was worth trying.

This is an intentional sales method. Businesses do this to get sales leads. If you can see for yourself that you don't qualify, you lose interest immediately and go about your day. But if you call or chat in and they tell you no, they have an opportunity (however small) to upsell you on something else while they have your attention. There is no wrong or right here; you may not like it, but this is a proven sales method for business.

"I have checked your account, and it appears that you are not currently eligible for the loyalty discount. However, your account is in queue, and once it becomes eligible, you will be notified through the T-Life app. I kindly ask for your patience during this time."

Not sure how true this is but

Start by first finding out what your current plan SOC is. Self service:

1) Login to your T-mobile account on your internet browser. The url after you login will be
Code:
https://www.t-mobile.com/my-account/dashboard
2) Right click, open Inspect for your page inspector. This shows all the data and code behind the webpage, usually hidden from your eyes.
3) Navigate to the network tab to see the data being sent from T-mobile to your browser.
4) Refresh the page F5.
5) In network there will be a list of files, select "account"
6) Change from Headers tab to Preview tab
7) Expand myLine > ratePlan. Your plan details are in there. socCode is the important one.
Well crap, I don't have a preview tab. Tabs are Headers, Cookies, Request, Response, Timings, Stack Trace, Security. Using Firefox. Thanks for this.
Saw your other post and found it under Response. Thank you.

I have a Simple Choice plan from over a decade ago. Went thru t-life app chat, provided the promo ID, and support confirmed I qualify. Also got the free line promo from earlier this year. Good luck to the rest of the thread.
