i pulled the trigger on one of these on cyber monday. I started seeing some instability yesterday. The 6G signal started dropping out intermittently. And for those asking, no, i'm not far from the router. I'm maybe 2m from the router. So I'm looking at returning. Also, just as an FYI, amazon lists this as a commonly returned item.

Isn't TP-link going to be hit with an import ban?

Who knows if anything will ever happen on that front? Getting pretty tired of this 'news' just wafting around in the atmosphere like a fart in church. They should either ban TP-Link or drop all the political BS and move on to another target.

Are these any good? Have been thinking about upgrading to wifi 7 but have been eyeing the Ubiquiti Dream Router 7. How does this compare?

Just got mine today. Works like a dream compared to the wifi 6 crap router that Spectrum charges us for. I was getting 300-400 MAX (most of the time 80-90) with Spectrum router, frequent drops and range issues IN A TWO BEDROOM APARTMENT ON THE SAME FLOOR. Switched out with this and within 30 minutes up and running with 700-1062 download speeds and range to the parking garage. Haven't tried the 2.5 ethernets yet though, so I will see later..

I returned mine after having nonstop issues with my PS5 connecting to it. Tried resetting and changing various frequency settings, but it would drop the connection and refuse to reconnect after a day every time. It's a mere 8 feet away too.

For those needing tight parental controls, such as when the internet locks and unlocks, blocking websites, being able to assign devices to specific children and setting custom rules, It's all locked behind a subscription.

If you rely on rtings.com, they have this rated as their best wifi router.

You can assign devices to your kids without a subscription. You can also block those individual devices. I would recommend putting the kids on their own guest Network so that you can just shut it off when they try to do stuff like use a VPN.

I previously had this but not the best through multiple walls. Ended up returning and going with Asus Mesh system. Much happier with that.

I agree. Try eero or a different brand. I never loved using Asus , tplink or Netgear
