Bought a certified refurb Dreame x40 last year from their eBay store. Worked flawlessly for the last year until the front wheel housing cracked. I was out of the MFG warranty but since I bought certified refurb, you get an extra year of warranty through square trade. Claim was approved, sent the robot in and they deemed it unrepairable (even though it's easy to repair) so got a check back for $1000 even though I paid $800 for the refurb.
Lesson to be learned here is that you are actually better off buying the certified refurb since it's cheaper, works as well and when/if it breaks, you can get a full check to upgrade with.
$559 for an x50 is a steal, and you get the extended warranty.

Thanks OP. Been on the fence with getting a mop vacuum for the longest time, but this being a top tier vacuum with a 2 year warranty at $500 with the Klarna (never used this before but I got 0% APR) coupon pushed me over the edge. When I was checking out there were only 2 left.

I too had the same experience with a different robot issue. Got the insurance check and purchased another one at a lower price. The refurbs are mostly new units as well.

Save your money. I purchased a similar one from Dreame & the dock didn't work out of the box. Now I have to figure out how to return a giant god damn box.

You pack it back in the box, get a free shipping label from eBay and take it to UPS/FEDEX, just like any other online return. Not really sure how that's difficult.
