Buying from Amazon it is a legit concern even if the item is shipped and sold by Amazon. If Amazon oversells the product they have on hand they will ship 3rd party items of the same sku and pay the 3rd party. So it is possible you get sent an item from a 3rd party even if buying items shipped and sold by Amazon.

I have to get apple care+ so my bf purchase via bestbuy still beats this deal due to bestbuy membership as I get 2 year apple care for $220 but solid deal if you aren't looking for apple care, I had bad experience with my previous air pods pros and apple didn't fix them due to lack of apple care

Yeah I thought about that too. I'll wait for Target to drop their price to $199 and just get it from there since I have those 10% off gcs from last week.

Waiting to see if Target will match. Didn't wait on the 4's with ANC and they matched Costco and Amazon shortly later.

They price matched my Airpods 4 with ANC later in the day after I purchased from Costco, so you are most certainly wrong.
