Buying from Amazon it is a legit concern even if the item is shipped and sold by Amazon. If Amazon oversells the product they have on hand they will ship 3rd party items of the same sku and pay the 3rd party. So it is possible you get sent an item from a 3rd party even if buying items shipped and sold by Amazon.

Yeah, there's less chances of them being used or swapped for fakes when ordering from Walmart lol

It's been a worry when it comes to Amazon on any big ticket item like this for years now

have until Jan 15, 2026 with Amazon
every year Best Buy has an extended holiday return policy, allowing items bought from Oct 31 - Dec 31, 2025, to be returned until January 15, 2026. Plus i do not intend to return the airpods it's something i do want. my airpods 1 were great, then airpods 2 then pro1 and for the past 2 years airpods pr2 2 have been fantastic... us them every day while working. the airpods pros in my opinion are better than the airpods max in overall use case. i had to sent in my airpods max for the battery before the applecare ran out... i don't even use them much... need to give it away to a family member i guess.

Anyway... i will balance my time with the airpods pro2 and pro3. anyone that has not had aipods pro 2 i would recommend it to them if they need to save money. i just wanted to gift this to myself while it was in a good low price. ah plus i had a best buy gift card to use as well.

They price matched my Airpods 4 with ANC later in the day after I purchased from Costco, so you are most certainly wrong.
Actually they're not wrong. Sounds like your match was an exception outside Target policy. https://www.target.com/help/article/000062256

Quick question. I have the Pro1 and am contemplating these. Mostly would like better noise cancellation as I fly a lot. Is it worth upgrading or not really?
Noise cancellation is much better on these, so i would say it's well worth the upgrade

Bought mine from Walmart yesterday. Delivery same day.
At first I bought Apple refurbished on Amazon for $179.00. Arrived and everything looked new.
Then I realized the case was a lighting usb case. WTH? Someone returned them and they probably returned the number 2 version of Pros? Love my pro 2s. Looking forward to my new 3s. Good luck and merry Christmas! D

Not even remotely close to being true. Stop spreading conspiracy theories!

After I got a used Toto bidet, I also look around for alternatives on pricier stuff.

No, I think you misunderstand. Target.com matched the price, they did not make an exception for me lol. It was not an individual customer price match, but a Target one. Like the company? I made my purchase, and later that afternoon/evening, they matched both Costco and Amazon. I would've saved a few bucks more with my Red Card, but such is life .

Got mine for $149 … then sold 2's for $140 @Swappa … net upgrade cost $9.
How? Bought 3's w/Black Friday 20% off Apple gift cards + received $50 BFri - CMon Apple gift card rebate deal. I do this every AirPods upgrade 🕰️

I bought some "open box" AirPods Pro 2 from Walmart... Battery was dead, they were still tied to the previous owner's Apple account......

If you look at the policy it does sound like the target rep you dealt with made an exception for you as the official price match policy in the link clearly states they only match their own sales. Point being, it's not a guarantee that others will have the same success you did.

Looking at the deal history... was this really $171 at one point back on November 28?
