ok i'm almost 50 and the KCD 1 was hard as hell, gave up in the first couple missions as i couldn't fist beat the guy near the farm. Is this gonna be the same thing? I like the genre but man it was difficult for me KCD1 😅

Do you need to play the first one before this?
You really don't. This one is so much better, and recaps the first one every time you need it (actually does it as it goes on, gives like little recaps of relevant pieces naturally when needed).
I would rather play this one twice than play both, personally. Kind of a weird suggestion. Other franchises I wouldn't give that same opinion, but this one... I just found the first one mediocre and the sequel amazing.

This one is much, much easier...so much so that I didn't like it quite as much as the first.
That said, it's a beautiful game and still worth playing, especially at this price. It's also far, far less buggy than the original.
Thoughts on if a small screen like ps portal or steam deck would be ok? Or is a beautiful game I should play on the couch?
A bit of both for me! It's quite cinematic at times so if I'm playing though the story I like to be on the big screen but have found solace in crafting and brewing potions on the portal. I absolutely love this game

Thanks. Without spoilers of course, is this a strategy type of game? I watched a bit of some play throughs, but didn't want it spoiled. It's a thinking challenge?

Saying "its worth playing" is really selling this game short! This is a masterpiece. An absolute banger of an experience. But I do agree, the first one was more difficult. I was disappointed how so many of the skills disappeared in the second game. Call it streamlined or dumbed down I guess.
