They have screwed this product completely. Added a bunch of fees. What used to be $30 a year is now $45 or so with fees.. Buyer beware

no, you can not stack them. one year at a time, if you use a new renewal if overrides the last one, they don't add on to each other.

My plan activated in middle February a few years ago and kept renewing. I didn't realize last year they renewed it in January, taking away a month. And also the fees too they added. But at least this plan doesn't have the fee unless it renews later.

Can the data be used for hotspot? I only need a little per month to feed my gate camera. I use an old beater phone and just leave it down there. Using Visible now but this is cheaper. Tracfone is cheap but won't let me use the data for hotspot.

My current RP plan expires in a couple of weeks... Auto renewal is a little more expensive plus fees. If I buy this via ebay can I just use it to renew/extend my existing plan? Any problems or tricks to doing so?

US Mobile doesn't require an upload of govt ID and a facial scan for activation as does Helium.....

If you find an ebay plan similar to your current plan you can buy that one or if you want to change plans you can. Choose renewal in the drop down box, it just means no sim card is sent to you. Your new plan is whatever the ebay listing says. You have 90 days from purchase to use it or else you lose it. When your current plan expires, apply the activation code that they emailed to you to your line under your account.

no that wouldn't work

you have 90 days after purchase to activate the redpocket plan. when you do activate it, it overrides your current plan meaning you forfeit any time left
