Aside from these handful of examples... there are lots more if you look for them... it is absolutely insane these days to argue against not having your device getting security updates, unless you are never signing in to any important accounts on that device, including email accounts.

Wish it had expandable storage...
Edit: I had one and gave it to my wife to use for school.

Why... I have not heard of a person on this planet that got hacked because they were using an out of date OS. Specifically talking about Android 11 and up.
What you are talking about is Make believe corporate strategy to make you buy more stuff.
So there is about 1.5 BILLION android devices that are not up to date... please find me ONE story about somoeone getting hacked because their tablet or phone was not upto date. JUST ONE STORY from the 1.5 BILLION users.

The second one is also... showed a working exploit... WITH NOONE getttign infected.
The third one HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH UPDATES!!! Samsung phones had a vulnerbility and it was there EVEN IF YOU WERE FULLY UP TO DATE???!!!
And the last one MUST BE A targeted exploitation!!!! Look if a thief wants to break into my home... it will happen. If you PERSONALLY are targeted (like Jeff Bozzo or political activits or journalists or you work for the gov't)... YAH, you will most likely be targeted. But if you are just a regular Joe... AGAIN, show me ONE REAL EXAMPLE of "AN ACTUAL PERSON" getting hacked becasuse their phone was not up to date.
I can tell you that Gemini, Grok and ChatGPT could not find ONE real life example. Besides high profile people being targeted... like Jeff Bozzo.
TO ME... it is absolutely insane these days to argue against not having your device getting security updates WILL PUT YOU IN DANGER... and the other stuff you said is just to scare people..."unless you are never signing in to any important accounts on that device, including email accounts.".
Don't you understand that this entire update thing is 99.99% to sell people more stuff. and AGAIN... please show me ONE PERSON... A REAL PERSON... not some exploit has been discovered... show me ONE PERSON that got their phone hacked because their phone was not upto date or their tablet was not up to date. AND YOU CAN NOT.... because it does not exist and I am talking about Android 11, 12 ,13... and up.
And dont' show me Samsung's exploit that was their EVEN WHEN THE PHONE WAS 100% UP TO DATE!!!
ALSO... per your article but also per MANY ARTICLES...
Android has pushed the latest security update, which means its own brand of Pixel and Android One phones are covered. But other device manufacturers, such as Samsung and Huawei, have yet to release a fix, which means some terminals might still be vulnerable. SOMETIMES it can take up to a year and sometimes the update never gets pushed out. Point it...
If you were that fanatical about getting updates... the ONLY device you would want is google or apple or any chromebook or a Linux OS that is being updated by it's creators. Cause every other android manufacturer puts you to risk.

The issue I have with this tablet is two fold....
1. I HATE the aspect ratio of 5:7 or 7:5. This is not geared towards watching movies and TV. Most other tablets have a 16:9 aspect ratio. Like the black lines above and below will be HUGE and in the end it is like you are watching a movie on a 7" tablet that has an aspect ratio of 16:9.
2. Oneplus claims having a 5:7 makes your device more productive... but who buys a tablet to be productive? I buy it to watch movies and TV and to check email, etc... I do not have mulitple screens going like I do at work and I would not call android itself a productive OS.
So besides the aspect ratio... this is a GREAT tablet. Too bad they did not have an OLED screen (I am sure future models will have this).
