you can buy more then one set for extra displays, but only use 3 of the sensors and save the other sensors for backups.
another use is in the car.

do note that the metal of the refrigerator cabinet might limit the distance for the display though.

As other mentioned, the solar is for ambient light sensor only. The LCD display doesn't have enough contrast. Barely able to read in dim room. You need to turn on backlit to see it
