I just got a pair of these and unless you're cutting thin aluminum, they don't tend to cut well.

Yeah, I'm wondering what the use-case is. It doesn't seem that good for outdoor use.

Maybe it'll work for vinyl siding! I wonder what the lifetime warranty is like, whether they just give me another one when it stops cutting or require that I pay shipping for a new one, in which case it makes no sense.

Kobalt is their in store brand. Kind of like Husky is for HD (although Husky doesn't really have a power tool line and Kobalt does). HD is pretty lenient with warranty swap outs for Husky, you just walk in and they give you a knew one, usually no receipt is required
