16 AWG, this is a 10 amp max extension cord. I wouldn't use this for anything except lights.

I run power tools all day with 25foot 16 gauge never had an issue. Maybe jackhammer and mortar mixer need 14 gauge sometimes. Good deal

Agree. There is really no benefit in going smaller besides weight and cost, which aren't compelling at all.

16g copper wire is generally good for up to 18a @ 90c, but downgraded to 13a in flexible cords. Voltage drop @ 13a would be 2v, well within acceptable limits. You can't think of ANYTHING other than lights within a 1500w limit? 🤔

At this price there is no way it's not copper clad aluminum.

This gives me pause. How do we find out? At the same time, for lower demand things, it's probably fine.

As a rule I don't buy a wire that doesn't explicitly state it's copper.

Sure has been a lot of extension cord snobbery around here.

I don't buy that you know your stuff when you call a cable a "wire".

These are great for lightweight plugin devices with short cords -- bought them to extend my cheap bag less "vacuum" behind the 6-10 foot cord it had, and got a large fan with a 6 foot cord
