"The line must be activated, and stay, on our Dark Star network."Unfortunately, ATT sucks in my area. Otherwise, seems like a nice deal.
Yeah, definitely dependent on service quality in your area. AT&T is tied with T-Mobile as the best in my area. I run a dual-SIM with those two and get full bars and 300+Mb/s with both nearly everywhere in my city. Verizon used to be the best here, but they've really gone downhill over the last few years.

Man! That really sucks. My plan ends in 1 week, and I've really enjoyed my switch from Mint to US Mobile, but I need to keep my number, so I'll be looking for something else, I guess. I don't think companies should be allowed to limit present customers. I know the deals couldn't be as low, but they would average it out. Most customers probably don't search deals anyway and just let it renew.
Your best bet is to port your number out to a cheap plan elsewhere for a month. Then you can purchase this deal now, and port over before your month ends. From what other have said on these deals, is you port back in and use a different email, you're considered a new customer. It's a little annoying, but a doable workaround at least. Do your own research first, as my memory of the steps could possibly be a little off. I'd ask AI, then double check the sources.

I signed up 3 years ago when they had gift card promotion . Never received anything , i was assured multiple times that gift card will be issued. Just hopped on verizon deal for 4 lines for $100 plus taxes. So far coverage is comparable . i had all available carriers on Us mobile .
You got screwed and run if you still can! Visible+ was just as low as $10/mo after CB and still has straight $19/mo offers!

That's way better than the 167 deal
I'll take the $167 deal over this one anytime. This one is for the AT&T network which sucks in my area. The $167 deal was for T-Mobile.

If I read T&Cs, 1) AT&T (Darkstar) vs. T-Mobile (Light Speed) 2) 20GB (this deal) hot spot before throttling vs. 50GB hot spot before throttling (Black Friday). Price is better but the extra 30GB for hotspot monthly may be worth it for $4 per month ($48 difference in deals). That and YMMV - depends on which network is stronger in your area. I chunked in the $45 for multi-network which I hope allows me to swap to Verizon which is strongest in my area, but I'll find out more later. I'm happy with the BF deal but this is AWESOME if you missed it or don't need it. Sweet deal with Spectrum and others tossing in free lines for free for a year with 30GB of hotspot with service on existing service if you're already bought into to their other services. Cost of mobile is really coming down (except by Verizon bill with the family - sniff).

Plan renews Sunday and support via chat said they couldn't add any promo's to my account (only for new users).
If this offer didn't require a port-in number, I think they'd let current customers use it.

I am delighted with my recent promotional deal for $199. I got them to allow it for me as a current customer by starting my plan over, 10 days early, vs paying $250 had I waited until it was finished/due. Even that took some persistence. That promotion would have expired before my plan did.

Using Verizon towers with the highest priority data is the best thing about US Mobile for us. But some areas are not that good with VZW.
We went from paying ~ $150 per month for 2 lines to ~ $33 at this $199 per line annual price. I am not aware of another MVNO with top-priority Data for VZW.
We tried another one (Visible) but Data was hit or miss.

If ATT is good then maybe if you need lots of Hotspot, but the $167 was for their top premium which makes this more expensive (granted, not by much, just $12, or $1 per month). I got several people switched over from Mint (12 month plans were up) and Visible (save money and T-Mobile network seems to have better service in our area - Phoenix metro suburbs; didn't need the Apple Watch perk, and Hotspotting didn't work out because service was so bad in some areas that couldn't even use it and also wouldn't use as much as is included in the Light Speed network option on US Mobile).

Can someone clarify this for me. I see lots of talk of porting phone numbers from other carriers to Google voice in order to sign up for new member offers with the same carrier.

I'm also reading that Google voice costs $20 to port. Is everyone just taking that into account, bc no one seems to mention it?

BBB is hardly follow-up. It's a for-profit company that will try to bully US Mobile into paying to make their negative reviews go away.
