They do offer the option of paying more upfront if you don't want the hassle of using a prepaid card. For the Unlimited Starter:
"Pay $270 up front, then receive a $151 prepaid card at activation with code SWEETER119. Or get a sweet deal of $149 at checkout with code SWEET149"
And for the Unlimited Premium:
"Pay $390 up front, then receive a $211 prepaid card at activation with code SWEETER179. Or get a sweet deal of $239 at checkout with code SWEET239"

Although as someone else mentioned, one caveat is that you're stuck on the Dark Star for a year which is AT&T service. The 50% off Multi-Network add-on (which I assume makes the cost from $7.50/mo -> $3.75/mo) would be worth getting since it allows your phone to use T-Mobile and Verizon networks in case AT&T sucks in your area.

Oh dang that starter plan is a no brainer. Wish I handed fomod on their anniversary deal, 2 lines for 219. I still had to buy another carrier because darkstar was so poor in my area

Got the premium plan and added the phone warranty for $36 for a year too. I'll activate service next week when my mint plan is almost expired.

Is it worth paying extra for the premium plan for prioritized data?

Also, do you need the IMEI numbers of the phones that the service will switch to when you buy the plan?

Amazing deal and amazing company i was able to transfer 4 lines and they made an exception for me!!!!!!

270 x 4 = 1,080 - Gift Cards
151 x 4 = 604 = 476 for 4 lines for an Entire Year!!! you can't beat this deal.

ATT it's amazing in my Area!! no issues at all!
