Great album! Saw them for the first time at Lollapalooza in 1993 and was hooked. Layne Staley blew me away with his vocals, but he went through a bottle of Jack and 6-er of Budweiser during their set. Such a tragedy that he didn't find a way off that path to a balanced life.

Rooster was blasted through the inside our barracks FOB hope in Sadir City, Iraq, during a very early morning route clearance that went completely sideways. Never knew it was about laynes father being in vietnam till I got out of the service. Songs gives me goose bumps
