This exact model/size has been $997-$999 most places (Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy) for a while
Surprised to find out it just dropped another $100 today.
Looks like it's a Deal of the Day event that will last for 24 hours: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/misc...00050016.c

Agreed with waiting for the larger format. Have wanted to go to the OLED for years now but am waiting for the price to drop further. Helps that Hollywood doesn't really put out the must-see blockbuster anymore. Glad to see a 65" sub $1k, though!

There's been plenty of better deals in the past, on better panels like C4/5. Depending on the location you put the B series it's not good in a bright lit room which is why I have the 48B5 in my bedroom. I have the 65C1 in the living room due to better reflection and brighter panel in general. I believe burn-in is a myth lol unless you leave it on all day for months at a time. My C1 is several years old and still flawless.

I'm still not a fan of OLEDs stutter/judder. I own two of them but until that's solved I won't be upgrading to newer models and it's something I wish I'd have weighed prior to buying mine.

C5 could be had for $1050 during black Friday/cyber Monday. This is a pretty fair deal IMHO.

Bestbuy will price match and there warranty's are better because it covers burn in as well. But the Amazon warranty is still pretty cheap.

Take a look at https://rtings.com/ for good insight on TV's and awareness of just what one is buying. Generally don't settle for less than a 'C' class from LG.

I have the B4 version of this tv, and it's... ok. The colors and contrast are impressive, but pretty much everything else leaves a bit to be desired.

This is $765 on the LG partner site after the 15% coupon they sent me on 11/26. Coupon is good till the 31st. TV is on backorder but you can still order it.

Your C1 is larger hence the perceived brightness. If they were the same size you might be surprised that the newer B series might actually be slightly brighter.

RTINGS "The LG B5 OLED is a slight upgrade over the older LG C1 OLED. The B5 gets a bit brighter in HDR, so everything from small specular highlights to large, bright scenes stands out a bit better, and HDR is a bit more vibrant overall. Other than that, there's not much difference between the two."
