Does the Switch 2 require specific cards?

Yes, it needs to be a "microSD Express"

Beware, it's labelled as "bulk" packaging. Sounds kinda like "open box" which is a lil sus for an sd card

grabbed the 512gb from Target for $55. if you go that route be aware they use Mail Innovations for shipping which is bottom of the barrel shipping cost so expect delays

For anyone who just want a micro sd card, it's the same price getting a regular one.

Purchased two of these during the Black Friday deal. One of the cards they sent was used, had someone's saved screenshots and videos from various Switch games.

The fact that it is bulk packaging and woot seller tells me these are most likely refurbished.
I remember the last time woot was selling memory cards at a "too good to be true" price and it turns out almost all were refurbs and they did not want to admit it at first

General warning about Woot, and possibly other retailers, is that they are starting to blur the line on new vs open box. I contacted Woot support and it sounds like, as long as a return was submitted as "opened but not used", Woot labels it as New. Buyer beware

Mine from black Friday keeps getting delayed, last update said expected Dec 13, now this Thursday but not delivered yet. Hopefully in this case I'll get a new one
