We are truly cooked when people no longer fact check tiktok content. Royal Dansk is made in Denmark. "Danish style cookies" made for the Indian market are made in India. It's so simple to understand, but I guess when people don't check their sources, we end up with the current administration.

Ya. Social media is terrible for society. Dumb people believe in anything they see.

Well I was in Burlington over the weekend and they had non-Dansk tins of these and it said "made in India" in the bottom and I busted out laughing!

They are not made in India. Don't be so gullible and believe every social media post you see.

Some knock-off brands are though. I saw some in Walmart yesterday:

except so called only "made for the Indian market are made in India" is not accurate, as you can in fact buy the danish style cookies made in inida, in the U.S. and that's what those tiktok video is about

i am not here to make argument weather made in inida is better or worse, and my iphone is made in inida.

I'll make that argument. I looked at the ingredients list of one of those made in India brands. I compared it to two made in Denmark brands (this being one of them) and it was night and day. The Danish ones really only have 7-8 ingredients, at most. Counting two kinds of sugar, flour, butter, and "natural flavoring" that likely includes vanilla. An antifungal preservative. That's it.

The stuff from India (in this case intended for a Japanese market, I was in an Asian imports supermarket) was a few dozen ingredients, some I recognized as having unresolved safety concerns.
