Wasn't this like $25 digitally on BF?

Same here... I hate that they tool the route of making connections to the other game 'Control', they sure f'd up on that, it should've stayed with the same super natural elements of the first one, seriously nobody cared about that stupid back and forth flashlight bullshit, janitor, etc. AW1 still the best.

Fantastic game but not a great deal, can be had for less. Definitely not a 'walking sim' at all. It's a survival horror game.

I seem to be in the minority, but I've loved this game. The meta-narrative and the fourth-wall breaks are fantastically implemented, indeed as game mechanics, and story is nuts. I love the connections to the FBC, especially in the DLC, and there are connections to Control 2 one can already see in the trailer. I keep waiting for this to drop further, but the fact it wasn't initially intended for physical release makes this a must-own for me.

Wonderful game. Would recommend playing the first game before touching this though. The two mixed campaigns let you jump in without playing the first, but you get so much more out of this game with the background. I believe this is apart of Epic's current sale until the 8th if you want to play on PC. Should be 16USD and another 7 for the DLC. Downside is you need to use Epic's platform instead of Steam.

I'll wait. Control was recently $3.99 on PSN. I'm sure this will be as well at some point.

This was my worst game of 2024. I stopped three hours in. Walking Simulation.

What? There's nothing "walking sim" about this game. It's an investigation simulator if it's anything, set in a horror mystery. It's a phenomenal game.

I did too. It's well written and acted, has a compelling system for investigating the mystery at the center of the story, a good blend of realistic and fantastical elements, gorgeous visuals and some really fun set pieces.

Agreed. That said, I hadn't played the original since it came out on 360, so after I finished 2 I went back and played 1 Remastered, and that highlighted a lot of connections in a whole new way. I played American Nightmare after both, but didn't care for it. Too action oriented, which made it boring.
