I love these Craftsman boxes. I have an old version of this one with the top box and it still works like new after more than 20 years

That were probably made in USA back in the day, all craftsman now are made in China.

Missouri is not in China. That said, the harbor freight boxes are higher quality. These 2000 series seem okay but not great when I check them out in store.

You're thinking tools. Ocean freight for bulky stuff like tool boxes doesn't make building them in China financially viable, especially with tariffs.

You can literally see the 'Made In The USA from global components' sticker on the front
It's actually one of the nice things about Craftsman, most of their stuff (minus power tools) is reliably -not- made in China. The hand tools were quality Taiwan-made for a long time, although tariffs are hitting that.
