easy fix

especially if screen flashes for a split second.

a bad schottky diode likely

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6Y4upyTt3s

the part is only a few cents on aliexpress.

my 43s435 also went black, and it has the same or similar power supply as the s451.
fixed it with this diode and basic soldering skills.

Mine was great while it lasted, screen went black after 2 years. Get an extended warranty if you want a replacement or refund beyond that.

Is there any noticeable cursor lag? I picked up a TCL 43" a few years ago (43S45) and the cursor lag was bad, even with game mode enabled. If it's not a big issue with this one, it might be worth a shot.

I used 43S45 as a monitor as well for 2-3 years but only for productivity: browsing, Teams, some minor graphics design. No gaming though. I didn't notice anything really.

I just moved to Innocn 5k2k because I couldn't stand the lack of text clarity when I used cloud PC for client work. Night and day difference on the Innocn.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I might have to try it again and play with the settings to see if I can get the lag down.

I had the cursor lag on my 43" but also had scaled up the display setting to 150%. I dropped the display setting back down to 100% (125% may work) and increased the window zoom instead. Have to adjust each time reboot or open a new app, but I keep my box on all the time so it's not bad, but at least no more cursor lag which was more annoying to me.

What is the input lag on this thing? Modern tvs are actually decent these days and my 75" allowed me to play SF6 just fine in game mode. Been looking for a 43" monitor for an arcade cab and this is cheap enough if the input lag is low.

I used that same TV for about 5 years as my main monitor. I've never noticed any cursor lag. I've since upgraded to a 34" ultrawide so I can't check the settings, but I'm pretty sure it was just setting it in PC mode. You also want to check your computer and make sure the display set set to 60hz (Windows love to default to 30hz when using a 4K TV).

Just hooked it back up and no noticeable cursor lag! It's possible that when I first got it a couple years ago that my on board graphics weren't up to the job (have a dedicated GPU now) or an old HDMI cable could have been part of the problem. Thanks all for the tips everyone!
