I bought this a year ago in white, based on a (technical) review on the AllThingsOnePlace YouTube channel. It works extremely well for me charging multiple Chromebooks and Android phones. It charges my Chromebooks very quickly and doesn't seem to get hot. I leave it plugged in all the time and I use a high quality Anker 10' USB-C cable. I just checked and I bought the charger and cable 29 Jan 2025 so nearly 11 months ago. I'm going to order a black one at $14.99 for a spare.

They are covered by a 1 yr warranty but at the time (this was 2 yrs ago) no one at Amazon Customer Service knew how to process the warranty replacement. Took a few levels of support and then finally someone was able to figure out how to do it. They offered 2 options - replacement or refund. I opted to the refund, which I received once the defective ones (all of them) were mailed back using their prepaid labels

The issue I was encountering echoed what many are saying in the reviews:

- When working, it never achieved full 65W charging or even anywhere near it. Max wattage at any given time hovered between 45W-52W.
- All of the blocks eventually exhibited the following behavior - plug it in, it works initially and LED status light turns blue. Then after 30 seconds it goes off. Only way to fix it, is to unplug it and plug it back in. Same problem though.

All of these eventually burn out. Compared to other blocks, these are just plain garbage. I ended up getting a bunch of Insignia charging blocks from a best buy sale. All of them are still going strong and are used daily

Example review:
"The charging block stopped working properly after about 2 months of usage. I'm using it to charge a MacBook. It is advertised as having ample power (65W) compared to the OEM charging block (30W) but whenever it's plugged in the power feed is intermittent, switching on and off every few seconds. When I switch back to the Apple charging block the charging works fine. Overall, I was disappointed by the quick failure and no obvious way to find a replacement or return the product."

Shows me a coupon for $4.50 off the $14.99 price so $10.49.

No cable included. Better to get the Staples version, when it goes on sale for around the same price, and it includes a 6ft cable

There are chargers with the same wattage but more ports and significantly smaller than this one for a few bucks more. Worth it to get those on sale in my opinion over this. This thing is huge in comparison for the wattage.

Depends on what you want/need.

The Amazon one is:

PRO: Slightly cheaper than the Staples one, but CONS has only one Port vs 3x for the Staples one, AND the Staples one comes with a 4' cord, where you have to supply/buy your own cord with the Amazon one.

For me, the Staples one was a better deal, especially since I paid with Staples Reward $$.
